Kairos Gym Equipment & Safety Guidelines

Shoes are not allowed in the gym. All training must be done with no shoes to maintain hygiene, safety, and the integrity of the training surfaces. Please use the mats provided to clean your feet or socks before stepping into the training area.

To ensure safety for all users, please follow these guidelines for the following equipment:

DUMBBELLS/ FREE WEIGHTS

  • Used for exercises like squats, presses, rows, and carries.
  • Safe distance: Maintain at least 1.5m around each user to avoid collisions.
  • Only use weights within your arm’s reach; do not overload or attempt unsafe lifts.

GYMNASTIC RINGS

  • Used for pull-ups, dips, holds, and balance drills.
  • Movements may involve floor transitions or core exercises beneath the rings.
  • Clearance:
    • Vertical: Minimum 2m from floor to anchor
    • Horizontal: Minimum 1m around the user to avoid walls, other users, or equipment
  • Always check rings are secure before use.

PLYOMETRIC BOXES

  • Used for step-ups, jumps, and dynamic conditioning.
  • Ensure the floor and boxes are dry, clean, and debris-free to prevent slipping.
  • Safe distance:
    • Front/back: at least 1m
    • Sides: 1–1.5m
  • Step and land carefully; maintain control during all movements.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT SAFETY

  • Always maintain a personal training area of at least 1.5m x 1.5m.
  • Staggered use of shared equipment is recommended to prevent accidents.
  • Follow coach instructions and report any damaged equipment or hazards immediately.

About the program facilitators

Mr. Jose
This program is spear headed by a certified Pokemon judge with years of competitive knowledge behind him. Mr. Jose has more than 20 years of experience working with children of all ages. He doesn’t just make kids have fun, but create memories.

Mr. Cruz
Mr Cruz was at one point ranked #2 during the 2024 Pokémon TCG season in the Junior division. Having played in tournaments overseas, and against the adults in local tournaments, he may be young but his knowledge of the game and ability to develop strategies far surpasses his age. He brings an enthusiasm to the game that’s contagious.
